Behavior Intervention Services (BIS)

The CAS BIS program is designed to reduce problem behaviors in children ages 4 to 18 years of age.

CAS BIS programs target the reduction of problematic behaviors that limit the child‘s participation and inhibit learning opportunities in the home, school, and the community at large. CAS is committed to adhering to a positive programming philosophy to target the reduction of behavior excesses. The principles of ABA are utilized through non-aversive reactive strategies to decrease behavior excesses while simultaneously teaching appropriate alternative behaviors. BIS is unique to CAS as we also provide service to individuals outside of an ASD diagnosis.

This program provides training to parents in the principles of ABA to assist them in their roles as the parent, teacher, behavior specialist, and decision maker. CAS works collaboratively with parents to support their ability to identify and generalize appropriate teaching targets and provide daily structure, routine and consistency within the home.
